Hiking in November!!!

I went on a Hike on Saturday and it was another BEAUTIFUL day in Colorado. This is another reason why I love living here.

Halloween!!! Yes it is still fun!!!

So not sure how many of you have seen the TV show CHUCK. It is my favorite TV show. The basic story line of this show is the Nerd (Chuck) works at a Buy More, very similar to a Best Buy, and he runs the Nerd Herd, Very similar to the Geek Squad, and he as all the CIA secrets downloaded into his brain. Therefore he is now a top priority of the CIA to protect and keep hidden. He becomes a secret agent in the CIA and his cover-up is now a member of the Nerd Herd. So my friend and I were Nerd Herders for Halloween. It was awesome and we were even recognized by some at the Halloween party. You could tell who the true Chuck fans were.

Lauren and I dressed up as Nerd Herders

This picture is us portraying 2 of the Nerd Herd team that are not CIA agents. Jeff and Lester are actually pretty creeping guys. They call themselves professional stalkers. They have a Band and their band is called Jefster. We thought it would be fun to take a picture being Jefster.

Pumpkin Carving

At FHE on Monday we had a Pumpkin carving contest. It has been so long since I have carved a pumpkin I had forgotten how much I enjoy it. It was the first time I had ever used a stencil so I was a little nervous about it. I think it turned out really well. All said and done, I won the scariest pumpkin! Being a Mormon function everyone is a winner so we all got awards. I feel that since it is Halloween and things are supposed to be scary and I won the scariest, that means that I won Grand Prize. Right? That is at least how I am looking at it. I enjoyed myself so much I want to go buy another one and carve it. Yes I am a child at heart:)

I went to my first Pumkin Patch. Yes I am 27 and had never been to a Pumpkin patch. My roommate Hilary and our friend Jill and I went to the Pumpkin fest last weekend to get ourselves a pumkin. It was so much fun. It is expensive so I now know why I have never been to one before. I spent $4 on a pumkin. Good thing I got a small one. But it was so much fun.

Hil and I searching for the perfect pumpkin.

Still searching!

I think Hill found one!

Yeah I think this one is pretty perfect!

Contemplating our search and find!

yep the perfect pumpkins.

Sporting Events

Well I have a goal to go to every professional sporting team here in Denver. Denver has every professional sport. I have so far been to baseball, basketball, soccer, outdoor lacrosse, hockey, and rugby. Only have indoor lacrosse and football to go. These are some pictiures from the games i went to in the last few weeks. Hockey and Rugby. I have to say that Hockey is one of the most exciting games to go to. I felt like if i turned away for just a second I would miss something, and it is so true. I would turn my head to say something to my friend and find when i looked back at the gmae that someone was in the penalty box. I told my friend Crystal, who went whith me to the hockey game, "I feel like I am cheating on baseball. I don't want it to know how much I am enjoying this hockey game." Crystal just laughed at me and said, "Sara don't worry I won't tell baseball." Man I love Colorado!

Sand Dunes and Mesa Verde

I have always wanted to go to Mesa Verde so I decided to plan a trip out there. I invited some friends and we were off. We camped and saw some pretty amazing thing. Everything from the largest sand dunes in North America to holding an alligator, Yeah that is right I did hold an alligator. Talk about facing your fears head on... and to end the trip we saw Mesa Verde. It was incredible.

Yeah that is right we made pancakes while camping ;)
This is all of us at the sand dunes
Yes that is me being superman at the Dunes :)

Yes this is a random dear head on the wall at a gas station we stop at.

Yes I am holding an Alligator

They had a Tortoise too.

This was the alligator from Happy Gilmore. There was a sign right outside his cage with a sign that said that. Awesome huh!!

At a rest stop in Pagosa Springs

Mesa Verde at sunset. This was the highest point in the park

This is all of us at some of the Ruins. Jeff, Lauren, Me and Barbie.
